Conditional Probability quant interview practice.

Conditional probability is the discipline of updating a sample space after new information arrives. This reviewed practice set moves from finite counting and complements to urn observations, selected families, repeated coin evidence, stopping events, and Bayesian comparisons. A reliable workflow is to name the conditioning event, determine which outcomes remain possible, and only then normalize probabilities. For hypothesis-style questions, write prior odds and likelihoods separately before calculating a posterior. For direct counting, decide whether order matters and keep the numerator and denominator on the same sample-space convention. The collection is designed to expose common errors such as treating dependent events as independent, forgetting selection bias, or using an unconditional denominator after evidence has been observed. Candidates should be able to explain both the calculation and why the revised sample space is appropriate.
